This outlines the project management procedures that would constitute the full project life cycle as used by Touch Blue Limited. It is intended primarily for Project Managers with appropriate experience, although it may be used as a guideline by staff managing projects for the first time.

Touch Blue Limited Project Management services range from the detailed definition of the task, through planning and scheduling of the events involved and associated problem management, to the ultimate acceptance of the solution by the client. This entire cycle is underpinned by a process of review and agreement that ensures a match between the client’s expectations and the achieved performance.

Touch Blue Limited Project Management methodology is a flexible set of standards and guidelines, based on the most appropriate project management concepts from PRINCE2 and BS6079: 1996 (BSI Guide to Project Management). Touch Blue Limited’s core service always uses the fundamental Project Management disciplines of definition, planning, scheduling, and control. Its flexibility allows the incorporation, where required, of specific customer requirements, to achieve the required goal. This approach allows each customer project to be treated individually while ensuring that all aspects and deliverables are covered and that our many years of experience are brought to bear on risk and problem management and delivering a successful project.

The purpose of this guideline is to provide a consistent and relevant procedure that ensures solutions are delivered in line with the customer’s business, commercial and strategic goals. Guidance is therefore provided on the life cycle stages which include Project Initiation, Design, Pre-staging, Installation, Commissioning, and Project Closure.

Touch Blue Limited’s project methodology has been created to ensure consistent delivery of our customers’ solutions. The methodology itself has been developed over many years; primarily being based on the best-of-breed industry standard methodologies, combined with our own experience derived from many large and complex projects.

Our guidelines are working documents are continuously updated accordingly to reflect new and improved methods of working as they are developed and agreed.
